Contucci

(Tuscany, Italy)

One of the oldest winemaking families in Montepulciano, Contucci has been producing wine for over 1,000 years. This historic estate played a key role in the development of Vino Nobile di Montepulciano, a wine that has long been considered one of Tuscany’s finest. With 170 hectares of land, of which 21 are vineyards, Contucci continues to uphold tradition while embracing modern techniques to refine its elegant and age-worthy wines.
Contucci wines reflect the rich terroir of Montepulciano, offering a perfect balance of structure, complexity, and finesse. Their Vino Nobile is crafted primarily from Sangiovese (locally known as Prugnolo Gentile) and is aged in large oak casks to enhance its depth and character. As one of the founding producers of this esteemed appellation, Contucci remains a benchmark for classic, terroir-driven Tuscan wines.
