For over six decades, Domaine Michel Niellon has been a benchmark producer of Chassagne-Montrachet, crafting white Burgundies of exceptional depth, purity, and balance. Michel Niellon, who took over winemaking from his father in the 1950s, has built a reputation for producing some of the most sought-after Chardonnays in the Côte de Beaune. Today, the Domaine is run by his son-in-law, Michel Coutoux, who continues the family’s dedication to meticulous vineyard management and classic winemaking techniques.
Farming around 7 hectares of vines, including prestigious Premier Crus such as Les Vergers, Les Chaumées, and the legendary Chevalier-Montrachet Grand Cru, the Domaine embraces a restrained use of new oak and bâtonnage to preserve the natural tension and minerality of its wines.
