Domaine Fourrier, based in Gevrey-Chambertin, is a name synonymous with purity, balance, and terroir expression. Jean-Marie Fourrier took over the family Domaine in 1994 after working with Henri Jayer, one of Burgundy’s most legendary winemakers. He modernized the estate while maintaining its deep-rooted traditions, emphasizing meticulous vineyard work and a hands-off approach in the cellar.
The Domaine’s old-vine holdings, particularly in prestigious sites like Clos Saint-Jacques and Griottes-Chambertin, yield wines of remarkable depth and finesse. With a focus on whole-cluster fermentation, minimal sulfur use, and gentle extraction, Fourrier’s wines display precision, vibrant aromatics, and a seductive silkiness that has made them some of the most sought-after in Burgundy.
