Clerget
28 Generations of Burgundian Excellence
With a winemaking lineage dating back to 1268, Domaine Clerget stands as one of Burgundy’s most historic estates. Thibaud Clerget, the latest in this long family tradition, took over the Domaine in 2015 and quickly established himself as one of the rising stars of the Côte de Beaune. Based in Volnay, the Domaine produces exquisite Pinot Noir from premier and grand cru vineyards, including Volnay 1er Cru Clos du Verseuil, Pommard 1er Cru Rugiens, and Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru.
Thibaud’s approach marries tradition with a modern touch, focusing on biodynamic principles, whole-cluster fermentation, and restrained use of new oak. His wines are known for their depth, structure, and finesse, showcasing the unique characteristics of each vineyard with remarkable clarity. Domaine Clerget’s small production and growing critical acclaim make these wines highly sought after by collectors and Burgundy aficionados alike.
